DanceGen Privacy Policy

Effective 27 August 2026 · Last updated 27 August 2026
DanceGen turns a photo you choose into a dance video. This policy explains exactly what happens to that photo, who else sees it, and how long anyone keeps it.

  1. About this policy

DanceGen is an iOS app published by LB MOBİL TEKNOLOJİ VE TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller for the information described here.
This policy covers the DanceGen app only. Our other apps have their own policies.
DanceGen has no accounts and no sign-in. We never ask you for your name, your email address, or your phone number, and we have no way to find out who you are.

  1. In short

What | What happens to it
The photo you choose | Sent to our servers and to our AI provider to make your video, then deleted within 24 hours.
The video we make | Kept for 30 days so you can download it, then permanently deleted from our servers.
Your face | We never create a faceprint, and we never use your face to identify you.
Your subscription | Handled by Apple. We see a random ID and your plan status, never your payment details.
Advertising | No ads in the app. If you allow it, we use your device’s advertising identifier to measure which of our ads brought you here. You can say no, and change your mind any time.
Deleting it | Automatic. Your photo goes within 24 hours and your video after 30 days, without you having to do anything.

  1. What we collect

The photograph you choose
One photograph at a time, which you pick from your photo library using Apple’s own photo picker. We only ever receive the single photo you select — we cannot see the rest of your library, and we never look at it. DanceGen has no camera feature.

The video we create for you
The dance video generated from your photograph and the choreography you chose.

Subscription and coin information
Whether you have an active Pro plan, which plan it is, your coin balance, and a record of the videos you have generated. Payments are processed entirely by Apple — we never see your card details, billing address, or Apple ID.

A random app identifier
The first time you open DanceGen, the app generates a random identifier and stores it in your device’s keychain. It exists so your subscription and coin balance keep working, including if you reinstall the app. It is not your Apple ID, not your device’s advertising identifier, and it is not connected to your name, email, or any other app.

Advertising measurement — only if you allow it
The first time you open DanceGen, iOS asks whether you’ll allow us to track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites. If you say yes, we collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), its vendor identifier, and your IP address, and pass them to RevenueCat so we can tell which of our ads led to a subscription.
If you say no, none of that is collected and nothing else about the app changes — no feature is withheld, and you are not asked again. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Basic technical information
When the app contacts our servers we receive the app version, the platform (iOS), and — in our server logs — your IP address and the time of the request. We use this to keep the service running, to prevent abuse, and to diagnose faults.

What we never collect

  • Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
  • Your location — the app never requests it, and we strip location data out of your photo before it is sent
  • Your contacts, calendar, microphone, or camera
  • Anything in your photo library other than the one photo you choose
  • Health or fitness data
  • Your advertising identifier, unless you allow it — see “Advertising measurement” above
  • Biometric identifiers of any kind
  1. Photos and face data

DanceGen asks you to choose one photograph from your photo library. That photograph usually contains a face, because the app animates a person in a photo. We do not create, derive, or store a faceprint, face template, or any other biometric identifier from it. We do not perform facial recognition, identification, verification, or matching, and we never use your face to identify you. Your photograph is used for one purpose only: producing the dance video you asked for. We delete it from our systems and from our processing provider within 24 hours of your video being finished.
Your photo is prepared on your device before it is sent. We re-encode it, which removes the original file’s metadata — including any location your camera recorded. We never receive that metadata.
We ask for your permission before your first photo is ever sent, and we tell you at that moment what is sent and who receives it. If you decline, no photo is uploaded and no video is made.
We do not use your photograph or your video to train any AI model.

  1. How we use your information
  • To make the dance video you asked for
  • To keep your subscription status and coin balance correct
  • To deliver the choreography catalogue and preview clips
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix faults
  • To reply to you if you contact support
We do not sell your information, and we do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. We do not use your photograph or your video for advertising, ever. The one advertising use we make of anything is measuring which of our own ads brought you to the app, and only if you allowed it when asked.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, our legal bases are: performance of a contract for making your videos and running your subscription; your consent for sending your photograph to our AI provider, and separately for advertising measurement if you allowed tracking — either can be withdrawn at any time, the first by asking us to erase what we hold, the second in iOS Settings; and our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and working.
  1. AI processing and third parties

Making a dance video requires a generative AI model that we do not run ourselves. When you tap Generate, your photograph is sent over an encrypted connection to our servers, and from there to Replicate, Inc., a company based in the United States, and its sub-processors. Replicate runs the model that produces your video and returns it to us.
Only your photograph is sent. We do not send your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photo library, or any device identifier. The request carries a randomly generated subscription ID so we can check that your account is entitled to make a video; it is not connected to your identity.
Replicate, Inc. processes your photograph on our instructions and is contractually required to provide the same level of protection for it that we do. Because Replicate and its sub-processors may operate outside your country, your photograph may be processed outside the country where you live.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with data brokers. Your photograph is never used for advertising and is never sent to an advertising network — the advertising measurement described above involves your device identifiers only, never your photo or your video.

  1. Other services we use

Besides our AI provider, three companies help us run DanceGen. Each acts on our instructions, is contractually required to protect your information, may use it only for the purpose we engaged them for, and is not permitted to sell it.

  • Apple Inc. — processes all App Store purchases and manages your subscription. Apple’s own privacy policy governs what Apple does with your payment information.
  • RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) — manages subscription entitlements and coin balances for us. It receives the random app identifier, your purchase receipts, and basic app and device information.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — hosts our servers and stores your generated video for the retention period below.
  1. Data retention and deletion

Your photograph. Deleted from our servers and from Replicate within 24 hours of your video being finished, whether it succeeded or failed.
Your generated video. Stored for 30 days so you can download it, then permanently deleted from our servers. The copy saved on your device is yours — we cannot see it and we do not delete it.
Your account record. The random app identifier, your coin balance, and a record of the videos you have made, kept while you keep using DanceGen, so your purchases and balance work correctly.
Server logs. Kept for a short period for security and fault diagnosis, then discarded.
You do not have to ask. Every deletion above happens automatically, on a schedule. Your photograph is removed within 24 hours whether or not you ever open the app again, and your video is removed after 30 days. There is nothing for you to remember to do.
If you want something removed sooner, or want everything erased, email [email protected] and we will do it. Because DanceGen has no accounts, we will tell you what we need in order to locate your records.
What we keep afterwards. We retain records of purchases and coin transactions for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Once your other data is erased these records no longer identify you — they are tied to a random identifier that resolves to nobody.
Erasing your data does not cancel your App Store subscription — you manage that in your Apple ID settings.

  1. What stays on your device

Your finished videos, the photo you most recently used, the choreography catalogue, and cached preview clips are stored inside the app on your device. We cannot see any of it. Deleting the app removes all of it.
The random app identifier is stored in your device keychain, which is why it survives deleting and reinstalling the app — that is what lets your subscription come back. Erasing your device removes it.

  1. Children

DanceGen is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, where the age of consent for data processing may be higher, DanceGen is not directed to anyone below that age.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

  1. International transfers

The providers named under “AI processing and third parties” and “Other services we use” are based in the United States and may process your information there, and in other countries where they or their sub-processors operate.
Where we transfer personal information out of the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or another safeguard approved under applicable law.

  1. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. Because DanceGen has no accounts and we hold nothing that identifies you by name, we will tell you what we need in order to locate your records. Where we genuinely cannot connect a request to any data we hold, we will say so rather than guess.
Most of what you might ask for happens on its own: your photograph is deleted within 24 hours and your video after 30 days, automatically.
If you are in the UK or the EEA and you think we have handled your information badly, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents. We do not sell personal information for money. If you allow tracking when asked, our use of your advertising identifier to measure our own ad campaigns may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act. Declining the tracking prompt, or turning it off later in iOS Settings, is how you opt out — and we honour Global Privacy Control signals where they reach us. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information beyond the purposes permitted by that law. You have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

  1. Security

Everything the app sends travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Your photograph and video are stored encrypted at rest with our providers, and access is restricted to the people who need it to run the service. Your photograph is deleted quickly, which is itself one of the strongest protections we can offer it.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulator where the law requires it.

  1. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we handle your photograph or your face data, we will ask for your permission again in the app before your next video is made.
